"I enjoyed camping so close to the proximity of the whales and their young. Each morning we would wake up to the sounds of their breathing." -Lois Suzuki, Gray Whale Base Camp |
What's on Your "BUCKET LIST?"
"It's something I've just always wanted to do."
Sea Kayak Adventures has hosted thousands of guests in 19 years of business. We are honored to have helped so many celebrate honeymoons, anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, family reunions, vacations, and friendships. We love hearing each and every one of your stories, and the ones that have stood out to us these many years, share a common thread with exceptional meaning: the fulfillment of a dream.
Each year we get a handful of calls from folks across the globe who have "always wanted" to experience whales, dolphins, or orcas up close in the wild. Many of these people seek us out with the worry that their ability to adventure may be coming to a close, for health or family reasons. Sadly, we know too many who put off their "Bucket List" for so long that they never complete it - or even start. Make 2012 the year you resolve to experience nature and adventure like never before!
This New Year's Eve, while groggy revelers help themselves to black eyed peas and another chorus of Auld Lang Syne, think big when making your New Year's Resolutions. We urge you to make 2012 the year of your dreams! We offer world class trips to meet every budget and ability level, as well as early bird booking incentives, so don't hold back from gaining the experiences you will treasure for the rest of your life!
Whether you want to kayak with orcas, get eye-to-eye with a gray whale, meet blue whales and dolphins, or frolic with a right whale calf, Sea Kayak Adventures is privileged to guide you to these "Bucket List" destinations.
NEW! Family Base Camp Trips in Baja & BC

New for 2012, Sea Kayak Adventures designed a series of trips designed to cater specifically to families. These trips have a slower pace with optional kayaking and varied activities for family members of widely differing abilities and interests. Our basecamp trips allow for easy mornings without the concern of breaking camp, so you can sip your coffee and enjoy the rising sun from the comfort of a chair while the guides prepare breakfast for you and your family. Give Back This Holiday Season: Eco-Vacation
Sea Kayak Adventures group surrounds 1300 year old cedar tree... almost!
For many people, vacations allow a rare opportunity for self-indulgence and replenishing. We let ourselves to be lazy (or active!), eat our favorite foods (without cooking!), and shop freely (but not at the grocery store!). This respite from the rigors of our daily routine often sustains us for the remainder of the year. It is one of the few times we are allowed to be "selfish" - in a good way.
When you choose an eco-vacation, not only do you receive that much-needed "me" time, you also benefit the environment and community in which you travel. The eco-tourism industry in Loreto, Baja, from where we run our kayak tours, contributed to the establishment of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Sea of Cortez Islands to protect this valuable asset. Many locals in this once-remote fishing village recognize the importance of preserving the habitat of their natural wonders - after all, there is more money in guiding tourists to watch whales or explore the islands than in sustenance-fishing. The dollars spent in this area help families create better lifestyles for their children, who in turn grow up with the mindset that they must protect this beautiful wilderness.
Sea Kayak Adventures adheres to clean, green, eco-tourism on all of our trips. From carbon-offsetting, to "leave-no-trace" camping practices, to donations to local environmental groups like Save Our Salmon and the Whale Museum on Vancouver Island in BC, Canada, we take pride in our commitment to preserving these special destinations. This year, when you plan your travels, give back - by giving yourself an eco-vacation.
