Sea of Cortez Islands and Magdalena Bay
Whale Watching Combo combines five days of fantastic sea kayaking in the
Sea of Cortez with your choice of one or three days of up-close whale
watching in Magdalena Bay. Days include arrival and departure
days.
8-day tour includes 5 days of
kayaking in the Sea of Cortez with 4 nights camping, and 1-day
Magdalena Bay Whale Watching
excursion.
10-day tour includes 3 days whale-watching
and 2 nights at Whale Watching Basecamp, and
5 days of kayaking in the Sea of Cortez with 4 nights
camping.
With
each of these tours, your first and last nights will be hotel-based in Loreto
with an extra hotel night between kayaking and whale watching. Each day and
night in between will include island camping, kayaking in the Sea of Cortez and
whale watching by motorboat at our base camp on Magdalena Bay.
Magdalena Bay Whale Watching day trip (for 8 day
tour only) includes van transportation from Loreto (2 hours each way), two
hours whale watching by motorized skiff, snacks, seafood lunch and a naturalist
guide. Guaranteed whale sightings. All Combo tours include
airport transfer, three nights' hotel, all sleeping bags & camping gear,
meals while on the water and guides. Snorkel gear and wet suit are available
for weekly rental of $20 each. Single (hotel) supplement: $120 which covers the
three hotel nights. |

| Mothership kayak tours aboard the Ursa Major, a 65'
charter motor yacht, in Baja's Sea of Cortez exploring the wild islands and
roadless coast between Loreto and La Paz for six nights/seven days. The
US-flagged boat accommodates up to six guests in three comfortable staterooms
(one with private bathroom, two with shared bathroom) and includes an expansive
foredeck, upper sun deck, full galley, elegant salon and congenial wheelhouse
(guests welcome to sit in and hear the captain's stories). In February and
March, add on a one-day Magdalena Bay Whale Watching excursion. Trips include:
