FAQ

How far in advance should I book?
While some tours can be arranged on fairly short notice, we recommend planning your day tour well in advance of your travel. Many of our guests arrange the tour months in advance. Our popular gray whale day tours sell out each year, and are best reserved well ahead of time. Some tours, like our blue & fin whale tours, require a bit of flexibility to ensure that water and weather conditions are suitable.

Itinerary

Day Tours are a great option for those with extra time in Loreto before or after their Sea Kayak Adventures tour. We can arrange extra nights for you at the tour hotel with our preferred rates if you would like to stay longer and explore the many adventures of the greater Loreto area.  For those taking a Sea Kayak Adventures tour, please note that the first and last day of the itinerary are considered travel days and might be suitable for a Loreto Day Tour depending on your travel schedule if you are staying extra nights. Day Tours are available to SKA guests and the general public from October through April, subject to weather and seasonal activities (like whale watching).  A popular option for those on our gray whale base camps is to add on an Isla Coronado Skiff & Snorkel Tour to experience the wonder of the Sea of Cortez. Contact the SKA office to see how we might accommodate your continuing adventures at 1-800-616-1943 / 208-165-3116.
