One may not think of Africa as a sea kayaking destination, but we’ve found a special location for our Primates and Paddling sea kayak adventure in the country of Rwanda! We sea kayak on Africa’s sixth-largest lake, Lake Kivu, that sits at around 5000’ above sea level. This clear blue lake is void of crocodiles and hippos, making it one of Africa’s most friendly kayaking locations. In addition to four days of kayaking on the lake, we also explore several national parks to view over ten species of primates. Highlights include seeing chimpanzees as well as trekking with mountain gorillas. This life-changing adventure tour is superbly choreographed and perfect for the wildlife-loving sea kayaker!
