Sea Kayak Adventures guide, Rudolpho in a pink branded shirt in front of the Sea of Cortez

Rodolfo Murillo

Baja Panguero

Originally from San Carlos, Rudolpho followed in his brothers footsteps and starting working for Sea Kayak Adventures to further pursue his love for the Baja peninsula. Working with his brothers is nothing new as he grew up fishing with them for work.

When he is not working, he likes to spend time with his daughter. In the off season he enjoys working in other areas of tourism closer to home, and fishing on his family’s commercial fishing boat that he grew up working on.

Rudolpho also enjoys playing football, and might even throw around the football at camp with you if you ask him!

“SKA and their staff are incredible! The trip from La Paz is so well organized and planned out that I finally felt I could relax and just enjoy the trip. And I sure did! We snorkeled with sea lions, octopus, rays, dolphins, and too many fish to count. We watched pelicans, terns, cormorants, and other birds dive and compete for fish. We went on hikes and sat around to play games together at night—it was like an extended family trip, but with comfortable strangers. My 12-yo son and I thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would recommend SKA to anyone! A big shout out to Diego (my son’s fishing buddy) , Diana (my adventure buddy!), Viki and Rodolfo (our favorite meal makers) and, of course, Fabian/Sherman (everyone’s buddy)! One night we all decided we’d love a link to some of the recipes offered along the trip if possible. We were even considering a small cookbook being offered for purchase…”

"I could write a book about our Loreto-La Paz Expedition in November 2024. From our lead guide (Diego) to the Murillo family (Damian, Tico, Rodolfo, and Teran (sp?)), to the home staff, EVERYONE was unfailingly polite, helpful, friendly, and upbeat. When the wind prevented our support panga from leaving La Paz as scheduled, Diego found alternate activities for our first day or so in Agua Verde. The shore activities were many and varied, from scorpion-hunting at night with a black light to attending a Revolution Day parade at one of our overnight stops. The paddling was quite strenuous at times, but never too much for me to handle (although there were options had that happened). Our entire group (8 guests, 5 guides) got along well and ate amazingly, with several nights of fresh-caught fish and/or freshly harvested clams and a special dessert every night - including a birthday cake the last night for our December birthday girl! This is my fourth trip with Sea Kayak Adventures and I'm looking forward to more."
